Helping the planet one hive at a time.
Our Mission
Why Raw Honey?
As a family business we strive to produce the highest quality honey available on the market. When you buy honey from a big chain grocery store, you may not purchasing what you think!
They have many creative ways of saying the same thing. Most foreign honey bottled in the United States is mixed with either high fructose corn syrup or cheap bakers honey.
This is why they are able to produce honey and sell it at such low prices.
Honey in America is roughly $4 a pound if you buy thousands of pounds at a time. This foreign honey they are flooding the market with from overseas is selling for $1-2 a pound.
Even if it does happen to be 100% pure honey from a local beekeeper, they are still required to heat the honey and pasteurize it to sell it in these big chain stores. This involves heating the honey to 120F+ to kill bacteria to avoid liability issues.
The problem is that the process of pasteurizing honey destroys all the beneficial pollen molecules that give honey the medicinal and anti-allergenic properties it has.
You are effectively buying overpriced high fructose syrup as they undercut the actual local honey market.
This is a real problem effecting the local honey market. We provide nothing but PURE, organic, unpasteurized honey that is not mixed at all. Every single drop of honey comes from our organically sustainably ran hives. This means your not only getting the amazing healing benefits of the pollen, nectar, and propolis… your supporting sustainable beekeepers which in turn supports the earth and our pollinators!
Nature’s most amazing superfood from our chemical-free hives surrounded by the St. Croix Valley wilderness.
